About Us
The National Scholarship Service Program (NSS) was established in 1946 to assist students in gaining access to and graduate from America's post secondary institutions. The Student College Interview Sessions, SCIS a.k.a. College Fairs, were conceived in 1963 to facilitate an exchange of information between students and college representatives and also to assist colleges in recruiting the country's brightest and best students. The sessions are open to high school juniors and seniors at no cost regardless of age, cultural backgrounds, ethnic origins, financial status or gender. Representatives at the SCIS include admissions personnel, financial aid officers, and/or alumni.
Cities on tour include Jacksonville, Denver, St. Louis, Charlotte, Richmond, Baltimore, Memphis, Houston, Montgomery, Birmingham, Atlanta, Cleveland, Auburn Hills, Detroit, Ann Arbor, White Plains, Newark, Philadelphia, and Orlando, FL. The fairs are highly promoted in each of the cities with the full cooperation of the local school systems.
